  Fast Food Server

Fast Food Server - position in the fast food restaurant near the park, main responsibilities include preparing food and serving customers (selling drinks, sandwiches, ice-cream), cleaning the place of work at the end of working day.

Wage: starting from 7.25 dollars per hour, plus bonus of $300..$500 after end of the season.

  Ride Operator

Ride Operator - position in the amusement parks connected with serving the attractions, selling and checking tickets, starting and looking for the appropriate work of attractions.

  Catering companies

Catering companies - job in a company, which organizes celebrities and are responsible for food, drinks and different equipment. Obviously, such companies need cook and wait staff. The responsibilities could include making the dishes, making tables, serving guests, delivery and installing of equipment, cleaning of the place of celebrity.

Requirements: good English level, communicability.

Wage: $7..$8 per hour, plus bonuses or tips + food and drinks.

  Lifeguard

Lifeguard - the main responsibility is to rescue the drowning people, but could also contain handing out of umbrellas, answering questions of park or swimming pool attendants.

Requirements: physical training, good English, communicability.

Wage: $7..$8 per hour, plus possible tips or end of season bunus.

  Maintenance

Maintenance - main responsibilities include repair of equipment, buildings and constructions.

Requirements good English and possible work experience in the field.

Wage: $7..$8 per hour.

  Security

Security - positions in the guard area; main responsibilities include patrolling of guarding territory, looking after the discipline, looking for the goods safety.

Hotel jobs in USA

  Front Desk Clerk

Front Desk Clerk - the receptionist in the hotel, responsibilities include serving customers with booking rooms via phone, recording present guests, handing out keys from rooms, sorting correspondence.

Requirements: perfect English, ability to answer phone calls and taking orders, high level of communicability.

Wage: average  $8 per hour, plus discount for the room in a hotel.

  Housekeeper

Housekeeper - – main responsibilities include cleaning rooms, changing towels and bedclothes.

Requirements: good stamina and physical shape, absence allergy to cleaners.

Wage: $7.50-$8 per hour, plus tips, that could be given by guests after their departure.

  Laundry staff

Laundry staff - position connected with all the job possible in laundry department; responsibilities could include sorting the towels and bedclothes before washing, loading and unloading washing machines, drying.

Jobs in the restaurants

The restaurant could be one of two types:

  1. Restaurants, which opens at 9-10 o’clock in the morning and serving breakfast, lunch & dinner. The tips could be from $1-$2 per table up to $10-$20 per table depending on the guest’s mood and way you served them. Examples of such restaurants are "Shoney's", "Johnny Rockets", any "all you can eat" buffets.
  2. Restaurants, which opens at 4-5 o’clock PM. Such restaurants serve lunches and dinners only. Most of them are ‘fine dining’ class. The tips, obviously, would be 15% from the amount of order here. Sometimes you can get 20-30% when guest was fully satisfied with the level of service provided.
  Busser / bus person

Busser / bus person - helper of the server; responsibilities include cleaning tables, helping to serve guests, cleaning the restaurant at the end of the day .

Requirements: communicability, good level of English, lightness.

Wage: could be fixed ($7-$8 per hour) or flexible ($3.50-$5 per hour, plus share of server’s tips).

  Cook / cook assistant

Cook / cook assistant - main responsibilities include taking orders from servers, making different dishes (as fast as possible), cleaning the kitchen at the end of the day.

Requirements: good English, some knowledge in cookery, previous experience is a plus, good physical shape, because you need to work in very hot place.

Wage: based on your qualification, $7-$10 per hour + food.

  Dishwasher

Dishwasher - main responsibilities include washing of dishes, sorting and loading the dishes into dishwashing machine, unloading and drying the dishes, cleaning the place of work at the end of working day.

Requirements: good physical shape, quickness and lightness, absence allergy to cleaners.

Wage: from  $5.50 (plus small share of server’s tips) up to $7.5-$8 per hour.

  Host/hostess

Host/hostess - "the person who greets the guests"; main responsibilities include greeting the guests, leading them to their tables, answering phone calls, helping in cleaning the entrance of restaurant at the end of shift.

Requirements: very high level of English, high level of communicability, ability to take orders via phone and to book tables.

Wage: in most cases $8-$8.50 per hour, plus free dining (not always).

  Kitchen staff

Kitchen staff - include cooks, and helpers; main responsibility include preparing salads, bakery, pastry, sauces, also cleaning the kitchen at the end of a shift.

Requirements: knowledge of dishes names in English, ability to cook.

Wage: from $5.50 (plus a percentage from wait staff tips), to  $7-$9 per hour +free food.

  Runner / food runner

Runner / food runner - kitchen staff at the restaurants of ‘buffet’ type; responsibilities include delivery of dished to the ‘buffet’, making salads and sauces, cleaning the kitchen at the end of shift, helping cooks and rarely dishwashers.

Requirements: communicability, good level of English, lightness.

Wage: from  $5.50 (plus small percentage from wait staff tips), to $7-$9 per hour, plus free food.

  Server, Waiter/Waitress

Server, Waiter/Waitress - main responsibilities include serving the tables, taking orders, delivery the orders to cooks.

Requirements: very high level of English, ability to memorize dishes fast, high level of communicability, goodwill, kindness, knowledge of dishes, knowledge of drinks, knowledge of etiquette.

Wage: minimum  $2.13/hour, plus tips from  $0 (sometimes happens like that) to  $50-$200 per shift.

Work in the shops

 

  Cashier

Cashier -  till operator in the shops; responsibilities include taking the money for the goods, handing out the checks, packing the goods.

Requirements: high level of English and attentiveness.

Wage: $7-$8 per hour, plus discounts for buying goods in the shop (can vary from 5% to 20%).

  Sales Person / Sales Assistant

Sales Person / Sales Assistant - the responsibilities include helping the customers in choosing the goods, goods placement, sorting the goods in the storage.
